# Advertising policy

Last updated 1 October 2026. These terms apply to every ad bought on mxverify.uk. By paying for an ad you accept them.

## What you buy

- One **ad pill**: a labelled link to your website in one of 23 fixed ad spaces. Each space runs on a whole group of pages — the mxverify home page; every site report on mxverify; every publication hub on mxverify; or every other mxverify page: Top lists, keyword and network pages, the A–Z, audits, comparisons, search, the checker and the guides.
- It runs for **7 days from the moment your payment is confirmed**, then the space opens for the next advertiser. Ads do not renew automatically.
- Every pill is marked **“Ad”**. Its link is marked `rel="sponsored nofollow"`: it passes no search ranking credit, as search engines require for paid links. Clicks reach your site through mxverify with standard UTM parameters (`utm_source=mxverify.uk`), so you can see them in your own analytics.
- The pill shows your site's name and icon, and the views and clicks it has had in the last 7 days. We count a view when the pill is on screen for a second, and do not count known bots. We do not promise any number of views or clicks.

## Price

An open space costs **$5 for 7 days, plus $1 for every ad live anywhere on mxverify** at that moment. Prices fall again as ads end. The price you see when you start checkout is the price you pay: the space is held for you for about 30 minutes while you complete payment. Prices are in US dollars and payments are processed by Stripe, which emails your receipt.

## What we accept

Before checkout we check the website you enter. We do not accept, and may remove at any time, an ad for a site that:

- does not load over HTTPS, or sends visitors on to a different website;
- Google's Web Risk service lists as malware, phishing or unwanted software;
- is about gambling, adult content, cannabis or CBD, or sells medicines or pharmacy products;
- is illegal, deceptive or misleading, impersonates another person or brand, or promotes hate or violence.

The automatic checks are a first filter, not an approval. We may remove an ad that breaks this policy at any time, including after it has gone live.

## Advertising never changes our data

An ad buys a labelled space and nothing else. It does not change any site's BV score, figures, report, ranking or place in any list on mxverify, for the advertiser or anyone else, and we do not offer to.

## All sales are final: no refunds

**Ad purchases are not refundable.** We do not refund an ad once it has gone live, for any reason — including if you change your mind, if your site changes, if it gets fewer views or clicks than you hoped, or if we remove the ad because it breaks this policy.

The one exception is when we could not deliver the ad at all: if your payment arrives after another advertiser has taken the same space, the ad never goes live and your payment is refunded in full automatically.

This does not affect any rights you have by law that cannot be excluded.
